ABOUT ME

Christina Kyriazidi is a Greek theatre maker, poet, musician, and award-winning performer, playwright and screenwriter, based between Berlin and Athens. She studied acting and playwriting in Greece and the UK (University of Exeter), and has worked internationally as a performer, director, and dramaturge across Europe, South America, and New York.

Her collaborations include work with internationally renowned theatre groups such as Odin Teatret. She has created 18 solo performances that have toured festivals, theatres, and galleries in Greece, Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Turkey, Argentina, Brazil, and New York City -- including appearances at Festival d'Avignon OFF, Magdalena Theatre Festival, and United Solo Festival.

Her theatre plays have been awarded and presented in Greece, Germany, Brazil and Spain, with distinctions such as the Greek Writers' Union Award (2002), the Brazilian Ministry of Culture - FUNARTE Award (2015), and a selection from the PIIGS Festival in Barcelona (2016). Her work has also featured at the Festival du Théâtre Francophone de Berlin, while her film script FOREST UNDER THE SEA has been awarded at the 3rd International Film Festival of Epidaurus.

In 2024, her solo performance OBLIVION was awarded Best International Show at the United Solo Festival in New York -- the largest solo performance festival in the world. In 2025, her solo performance CRACKS was recognised by the SITFY Poland International Monodrama Festival with the Special Jury's Award.

As a poet, her work has been published in Greece, and as a cultural innovator, she is the founder of several international initiatives, including STORY FOR FOOD, a story-collection platform in Berlin, and the International Storytelling & Performing Arts Festival "We Love Stories" in Chania, Crete.
